Follow the steps, step by step.
5 minutes: Form groups of four students.
15 minutes: Each student in the group must be responsible for accessing and reading texts from at least four data sources (websites available in the “Data Sources” link).
Suggestion: Divide the texts among the group members so that the group reads a total of 16 different sources.
10 minutes: In their notebooks, each student must write ONE brief summary combining the information discussed in the texts they read.
12 minutes: Each student will have up to 3 minutes to share their summary with the group.
30 minutes: Based on the shared summaries, the group must answer the following questions individually in their notebooks:
a. What is the role of the planet’s atmosphere in maintaining temperature?
b. What is the role of the greenhouse effect in maintaining life on Earth?
c. What is the relationship between pollution and climate change?
d. When and how does the greenhouse effect become global warming?
e. What are the consequences of global warming for the planet?
f. What is the relationship between global warming and the absence of life on Venus?
g. What are the possible solutions to slow down global warming?
30 minutes: After answering the questions, connect your answers and transform them into a text. This text will serve as the basis for your communication with the past. Write the text in a lined school paper.
